Do you listen to your Inner Authority?
Most people would say yes without hesitation, but I’d like you to take a moment to consider it before you respond.
When you make a decision, how do you decide? Do you do the “safe” thing or do you follow your dream? Do you listen to your inner voice, or are you so used to pushing that voice down that you don’t even notice it anymore? Do you hear the little nudges that tell you about your life’s desire or do you ignore them?
Do you let others tell you what you should do? Are you trusting them more than you trust yourself?
There are always people out there that are sure they know what is best for you. They are confident in their rightness and won’t hesitate to tell you what you should be doing.
We have been programmed to behave a certain way; we were taught to work toward creating a safe life and follow the rules. We try to build security, we build a fortress of protection and hide inside it.
We fake it in order to get status or validation. Faking it weakens our trust in ourselves; we aren’t doing what we know is true.
Start by listening to your inner voice.
When you are faced with a decision, sit quietly with it, and listen. The gentle whispers hold a clue to what is right for you.
The universe is sending an invitation; it is dropping breadcrumbs for you to follow. You may not know where they lead, but if you trust yourself you will know when you arrive.
If this sounds impossible to you, Simply ask the question “show me,” and then see what comes.
Trusting yourself is about finding your inner authority and cultivating it. The more you exercise that muscle, the more often it will reveal its secrets to you.
